The Rappa Family name has been synonymous with the home building trades for more than one hundred years. Starting with my Great Grandfather Leonardo Rappa, who at the age of 28 migrated to the USA in 1909, as a Master Stone Mason. My Grandfather Peter Rappa was a furniture builder and house painter for more than 40 years. Our cousins Frank, Steve and Lenny Rappa, AKA Rappa Bros. Builders, made a major contribution to the development of the Marlboro, NJ area building new homes and remodeling existing homes for more than four decades. My Father Vincent Sr. started offering carpentry services to the public in 1971, and established Rappa Remodeling Co. in 1976. I became associated with Rappa Remodeling Co. around 1988. After many years of productive operations, Vincent Sr. moved on to other endeavors. Vincent Jr. established Rappa Construction in 1998. Since 1988, utilizing his 25 years of remodeling and new construction expertise Vincent Jr. has been providing custom home remodeling and new build services to clients in NJ.

"We used Rappa Construction to remodel our basement after purchasing our home. When looking for a contractor, we not only consider price but more importantly, how professional, responsive and thorough a firm is. The great thing is that Vincent is so involved in all the projects. Its not like a huge firm where the owner, salesperson and foreman are all different people. He and his team did a wonderful job. The construction was well done and they kept the area neat and cleaned up after each day. His team and subcontractors were all very nice to work with. In fact, with Vincent's permission, we continued to use their HVAC/Electrical subcontractor for separate projects! One of the most important factors for us is how accessible and responsive the contractor is and Vincent responded by phone and email to our satisfaction. Its been two years and the basement still looks great. We'd definitely use Rappa Construction again.
I’ve recently completed an extensive project with Rappa Construction and highly recommend this company for any of your renovation needs. I originally met with a total of five contractors before starting this project. Vinnie Rappa was the only one who stood out as truly concerned for what I was looking to achieve. It was evident, from our first meeting, that my renovation was more than just another job to him, Vinnie was focused on what I actually needed and wanted in respect to my vision for the space. This was the connection I was looking for, and it was definitely a job WELL DONE! I was very impressed with the overall management of my project and the care that was shown towards my property. Vinnie Rappa is extremely organized and treated my renovation as if it was his own. His crew is very respectful and meticulous! At the end of each day all debris was cleaned and equipment and materials were organized and secured. I never found any dust or loose screws on the floor, ever. An existing addition, foundation and kitchen needed to come down before being rebuilt. Vinnie was on site every day with each of his sub-contractors, even if his own crew was not. He was aware of everything that was going on, at all times, and insured that inspections were scheduled in a timely manner with him on site. It was evident throughout the process that Vinnie assured all levels of this project were exact to his high standards with the remaining area of my house, not being worked on, completely secured from any disruption. The open area of my house was also always very protected against weather, etc. I was never concerned about incurring damage or for the safety of my family, which was an enormous relief to me. I have done multiple renovations over the years and am sorry I did not find Rappa Construction sooner. My addition and kitchen are beautiful and are now a very special area in my house. Rappa Construction checks all the boxes for a job well done. I will only use this company going forward and recommend them without reservation.
Rappa Construction did a total kitchen remodel for us. This included taking it down to the studs, putting in new window, door, flooring, cabinets, appliances and slightly closing in a wall. Vinnie's crew was professional at all times and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. Vinnie directed us to the kitchen designer and to the dealers for flooring and countertops. Vinnie would always discuss and sometimes suggest different options regarding wood stain color, outlets, lighting, etc. The project went quite smoothly. If anything wasn't perfect, Vinnie had it corrected immediately. We highly recommend Rappa Construction LLC for any construction needs.

We did a complete gut & rebuild of our 1st floor which includes kitchen, full bathroom, living room, dining room and staircase. Vinnie and his entire team were great to work with. Well, my friends all said it couldn’t be done, that I could never have my dream kitchen constructed in 8-10 weeks! But, Vinnie Rappa and his team at Rappa Construction did a complete renovation that included the removal and demolition of a full bath and office, relocation of plumbing and electrical and construction of a completely new kitchen and powder room, all in nine (9) weeks! Vinnie’s precise scheduling of the various tasks and disciplines caused the work to progress smoothly with no gaps or downtime. Vinnie kept close oversight on all phases of the construction and kept me informed and involved in decision making, as appropriate. I now have my dream kitchen and powder room, both within the time promised and my friends are amazed! I definitely made the right decision when I selected Rappa Construction as my contractor for this major renovation project.
We recently had Rappa Construction complete a Kitchen renovation. I can’t tell you how happy we are. You can tell that Vinny and his team take great pride in their work. Vinny stayed on budget and remained flexible even when dealing with difficult timelines due to the pandemic. We also appreciated that Vinny kept the renovation space clean and safe for our young boys. Finally, Vinny was able to guide us in making decisions and quickly resolved unforeseen issues. Let me start off and just say my wife and I can't speak more highly of our experience working with Vinnie. We were in the process of closing on a house when Vinnie did an initial walkthrough with us back in March 2022. We wanted to remodel 2 full bathrooms, 2 half baths, convert one existing full bath into a laundry room/walk in closet, and convert one bedroom into a new hall bath. Out of the 3 contractors we met with, Vinnie was the most detailed oriented and willing to work with us on our designs. The other two contractors were more skeptical about what we wanted to do. Combine that with Vinnie being the lowest quote made him an easy choice to move forward with. We worked quickly on establishing a project timeline with Vinnie once we closed on the house in July. We were hoping to finish the job in roughly 8-10 weeks, so he gave us a rundown on all the materials we had to pick out to keep the project on track. While we hit a few delays in the supply chain (to no fault of Vinnie's team), Vinnie was great in giving us periodic updates and updated project timelines. We occasionally even found his team working on the weekends. He did a great job of keeping an open line of communication on any issues that popped up and potential solutions/incremental costs. Along the way we found out we needed to replace part of the roof which Vinnie gave us a more than reasonable quote for. Vinnie and his team also helped out with a few extra things such as installing new light fixtures we bought, taking down some unwanted bars, doing some light electrical work which was all greatly appreciated. We finally finished the project in October (there was a 1.5 month delay as we waited on materials) and we couldn't be happier with the finished project. Vinnie and his team even came back after the final payment to wrap up a few loose ends and help out with a few other small unrelated tasks to the initial job. We absolutely LOVED working with Vinnie and his team and have recommended Rappa Construction to a few friends already.

As a result of superstorm Sandy, we had a 80 ft oak tree fall on our house. Luckily no one was hurt, but the tree caused a tremendous amount of damage and we needed a lot of help to get our house back to normal. We called Vincent Rappa the day after the storm. He was very quick to respond to our request and helped us through the whole process. He went out of his way to be here the day the Insurance Adjustor walked the house to assess the damage, and as a result of the relationship he built with the Adjustor he was able to ensure everything was covered. They were very professional and all of this work was completed within the estimated 3 weeks, which was quite a feat considering the shortage of construction materials and abundance of work available. All in all Rappa Construction made a very difficult time for our family very manageable.
Rappa Construction is the best! They completely gutted and rebuilt our kitchen. True professionals as they came when they said they would start the project and finished on time. The whole team was neat, polite and are highly skilled craftsmen. It was a pleasure having them in our home and they went above and beyond with full attention to detail. The final result was amazing from top to bottom and we will absolutely use them again! We couldn't be any happier.
Our dream kitchen and home came to fruition with Rappa Construction. Vinnie and his team were nothing short of spectacular. Contractors have a reputation for being unreliable or non communicative but Vinnie spoiled us with the opposite. If Vinnie said he would be in touch on a certain date, he was. if he said on this day, he'd be there doing something, he was. He estimated our project to last about 8 weeks and 8 weeks it lasted. Having someone in your home every day for a large scale project going above and beyond made us feel very good about making such a big investment. Vinnie and his team are easy to work with, open to collaboration and very clean. His crew would spend the better part of the afternoon cleaning and leaving very little trace of the crazy debris from demo hours earlier. We were referred to Vinnie by a friend and will absolutely be referring him to others and using him again in the future. you want someone you can trust - Rappa is the guy. I love my new kitchen! We used Rappa based on a recommendation and they did not disappoint. We completely renovated our kitchen, which included knocking down a wall and impacted the entire first floor. They were highly professional. They showed up on time, put in full days, cleaned up before leaving. The quality of their work is excellent. All the people brought in (for floors, electric, plumbing) were equally talented and professional. They wanted it to be as perfect as we did. I would definitely use them again for future projects.

Vinnie and team are highly skilled (crafting our fireplace mantle, columns, and built-in bench by hand from scratch!), fairly priced, highly attentive, and stuck to a timeline. Rappa Construction did a phenomenal job on our whole home renovation! From day 1, the team worked quickly and efficiently, knowing that we were on a tight schedule, needing to move in to the house in just 16 short weeks. They were always clean, polite, helpful, and professional. Mr. Rappa was always quick to respond to our texts and calls, and readily available to answer our questions (there were many!). The workmanship and carpentry was excellent. They turned a 1960 bi-level in need of every update, into a gorgeous custom home, complete with a new 3rd floor master suite addition. From the new siding, new roof, new HVAC, new kitchen cabinetry, and all the tiling, to the new hardwood floors, new stair railings, lighting, and fireplace, the house turned out spectacular! I highly recommend Rappa Construction!

When we were looking to choose a contractor for the installation of our kitchen renovations project we wanted more than price tag cost to be the main focus in our selection for service. Our most important factors: we wanted a contractor and team; honorable and respectful in their operation, skilled in their craft, a team we could easily communicate with, and shows up on time when scheduled, a team who takes pride and honor in customer service satisfaction, loyalty and follow-up on all concerns. A team who would make our kitchen vision come to life.. Rappa Construction and crew made it happen.. He provided an accurate quote of the scope of work to be completed outlined in detail in our contract allowing us time to review before signing. He provided a potential start date and time to begin each project and followed -up to insure we were on schedule. We had a slight delay in getting the cabinet moldings however, Vinnie continued to update us on the status of delivery. Once the moldings were installed, the beauty of our new kitchen sparked..
